some backstory on the upcycled materials

thanks for taking a look at my portfolio! as of late, i've shifted from digital art to doing crafts such as my wearable salvage line (motherboard hairclips/keychains/upcycled accessories). it's been very fun for me to express my creativity and be able to sell it for like-minded to express themselves too.all of the motherboards have been sourced from electronics within my own home. i have some old tech that i've used when i was little and it no longer works. they come from a range of appliances: a vcr, hairdyrer, cd player, water-pick, game console, and more.all the upcycled jewelry comes from a duty-free shop on the american-canadian border. every summer, i go up there to visit family. the shop is a place i regularly go to; the past three years i've noticed these pieces of jewelry sitting on a clearance rack collecting dust. i finally purchased them and repurposed their beads for things hopefully people can wear and give new life.as the old saying goes:use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.
